December 2019 Bible Series On Money and Giving Overcoming The Love Of Money

When it comes to love of money issues and our motives, we learn that money is not really the big issue. Money itself is a medium of exchange. The issues are our hearts, motives, and mindsets about money. It’s how we view it and how we came to learn about it. The issue is when we love money so much to make it a master that governs our lives. So money doesn’t change our characters, it reveals them. 

We shouldn’t be chasing money; instead we should concentrate more on doing what we presume GOD has called you and me to do and accomplish our purposes which are to give HIM glory in every area of our lives. Making money and becoming wealthy shouldn’t be our main focus. 

GOD wants you and me to put HIM first priority in everything about our lives and HE wants to get involved in every area of our lives. When our lives align with GOD Will for our lives, we shouldn’t be toiling for the things we need and want. 

As Christians we need to let the HOLY SPIRIT guide our lives. We have learned that GOD takes care of HIS people. And we receive GOD’S provision and supply by faith. Instead of being anxious, we need to trust HIM, moment by moment, and as we do so by faith, HE will supply and provide what we need. 

The LORD JESUS said, we cannot serve two masters at the same time. We cannot serve GOD and serve money at the same time. We will love one and hate the other. If GOD wants to give you and me money, HE can do it anyway HE wants in which ever means without you and me bowing down to money. We are the ones who have to make a choice to love, trust, and serve GOD and bow down to GOD only and making HIM our first priority in life as our Creator, Provider, and Master of our lives. We have to make a choice to live lives that glorify GOD.
