August 2023 For Me, You, Family Members Serve GOD

Let’s start by reading the Bible in the Book of Matthew chapter 9, verses 36 to 38, and the Bible passage says,

“When HE ( JESUS ) saw the crowds, HE had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then HE said to HIS disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the LORD of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into HIS harvest field.”

What do we see when we look at the World, the People including ourselves and our family members, and the environment surrounding you, me, and them? What do we see when we watch news broadcasters as they broadcast all sorts of negative things that are going on around the globe?

Well, as the Bible passage scripture says, the LORD JESUS saw lost souls and sheep without a shepherd that needed to be harvested to the Kingdom of GOD.

But for you and me, the answer could be something different, unless of course we are filled with compassionate like the LORD JESUS was, or HE helps you and me to see the way HE sees people, and situations in our lives.

And its understandable, because you and me are not JESUS the CHRIST. We were called to be like HIM as born again Christians and children of GOD, but truth is we are not that Good Shepherd, who came to seek and save the lost and reconciled them to be in right standing with GOD.

The Bible says in the book of 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verses 18 to 20, "But all these things are from GOD, WHO reconciled our lives to HIMSELF through CHRIST [making you and me acceptable to HIM] and gave you and me the ministry of reconciliation [so that by our example we might bring others to HIM], that is, that GOD was in CHRIST reconciling the World to HIMSELF, not counting people’s sins against them [but canceling them]. And HE has committed to our lives the message of reconciliation [that is, restoration to favor with GOD]. So we are ambassadors for CHRIST, as though GOD were making HIS appeal through our lives, we [as CHRIST’S representatives] plead with you on behalf of CHRIST to be reconciled to GOD."

So we were called to imitate GOD as it says in the Book of Ephesians 5 verse 1, "Therefore become imitators of GOD [copy HIM and follow HIS example], as well beloved children [imitate their Father]."

The Bible passage says, the LORD JESUS looked at the people, and had compassion on them. And HE knew HE had the potential to help them, and they were HIS harvest. HE had something to offer them that they were in need of. These people were sick, in bondage, harassed and helpless like the passage says, facing all kind of situations. They had all kinds of needs, and HE had and still this day has the solutions to their needs.

The Bible passage scripture also mentions, HE saw all those people, as HIS harvest, and wanted to help them, but the workers were few. HE wanted to help all of them, therefore HE had to recruit more workers for the Kingdom of GOD to harvest those souls and people for HIM.

HE couldn’t go to all places, because HE was limited by HIS Human Body, therefore HE had to recruit HIS disciples and make more disciples.

Sometimes people need to hear that GOD cares for them. Some people all they need is to hear about the LORD in order to get out of bondage, and the chains they are stuck with. Some wants a confirmation from someone else that GOD want to help them. Other people need to hear the truth about things they face in life in GOD’S perspective, they need to get clarity to clear their confusion. There are some things that the LORD JESUS can deliver you, and me, and our family members from through HIS HOLY SPIRIT, and we don’t have to be stuck in them forever.

When we are preaching the Gospel, the Good News, we are planting godly seeds of the Word of GOD to those people. We are the workers, but the harvest, the people and their souls, are of the LORD. They belong to HIM.

In the Book of John chapter 6 verses 27 to 29, the LORD JESUS said that “Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures [and leads] to Eternal Life, which the Son of Man ( JESUS ) will give you, for GOD THE FATHER has authorized HIM and put HIS seal on HIM. Then they asked HIM, “What are we to do, so that we may habitually be doing the Works of GOD?” JESUS answered, “This is the Work of GOD, that you believe [adhere to, trust in, rely on, and have faith] in the ONE whom HE has sent.”

We are just the vessels GOD uses, but its HIM WHO does all the work in and through HIS People, and all the work concerning the Kingdom of GOD. When we believe, adhere to, trust in, rely on, and have faith in GOD and HIS SON JESUS whom HE has sent. When we obey HIS instructions, HIS teachings, and do what HE wants you and me to do through the Leading of HIS HOLY SPIRIT, we get to see GOD working in and through our lives.

In the Book of Ephesians 3 verse 20, it mentions that as born again Christians we have the privilege to have GOD’S Power within you and me, and HIS Power can carry out HIS purpose and do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think. For the Scripture says “Now to HIM WHO is able to [carry out HIS purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to HIS Power that is at work within you and me.”

If you have experienced something that you were able to overcome, you can share that with those people GOD has placed in your life so that they also can overcome. Your testimony may help them to encounter GOD also and change their lives for good. Sometimes that’s all we need to do to lead people to GOD and be used by HIM in HIS Kingdom. Other people may be vulnerable and all they need to hear is that GOD knows their situations and HE cares for them, and just a word of encouragement through Scriptures can calm them down, and be able to see a bit of light and hope in their situations.

And that’s what you and me, as born again Christians we are supposed to be as ambassadors in the Kingdom of GOD. We are to share CHRIST and HIS WORD, the Good News to those people HIS HOLY SPIRIT will lead you and me to minister to them.

As it says in the book of Joshua chapter 24 verse 15, "As for me, you, and our family members we choose to obey, serve, and worship GOD."

For the LORD is Holy and worthy of our worship, reverence, and praise.
