February 2020 Bible Series On Obedience And Wisdom We Receive GOD Mercy

Previously we learned that we have our part and is called Obedience. We get to be blessed when we live and operating under obedience to GOD. The obedience that is pleased to GOD is the one that it comes willingly from your heart, which can be seen when the Psalmist said in Psalm 27 verse 8 “When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.” We don’t want to be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control (Psalm 32:9). Some people are only obedient to GOD because they want to gain something. They want to know what's in for them first. Some people are like Prophet Jonah in the Bible (please read the Book of Jonah), they need a bit and bridle. They only obey after they have tasted the consequences of being disobedient to GOD.

We have also started discussing another topic, the importance of wisdom. The Bible says in the book of James chapter 1 verse 5 that “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask GOD, Who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

We can ask GOD to give you and me wisdom in all areas of our lives. GOD Wisdom based on the Kingdom of GOD Ways of operating and doing things concerning marital area, spiritual area, relational area, financial area, and so forth. When we become born again Christians, we don’t rely again on the worldly system of doing things. The Kingdom of GOD system has its own ways of obtaining things and provisions, and how to fellowship with others.

We have learned three categories of wisdom as explained by Apostle Paul. GOD Wisdom, Worldly Wisdom, and Human Wisdom. We have also seen that Apostle James grouped them into kinds of wisdom; that of pure and godly wisdom, which is basically GOD Wisdom, and the rest it falls on earthly, ungodly, or demonic wisdom.
