Lets read the book of Luke chapter 10 from verse 1 to 11, the Bible records that “After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road. But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you. And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house. Whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you. And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ But whatever city you enter, and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say, ‘The very dust of your city which clings to us we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near you.’
One thing we learn from this Bible passage is that when the Lord sends you somewhere, maybe to preach, or tell someone a message from Him, if it is He Who really sent you, then He must have a plan to visit that person or that area and location.
By this time I think the Lord Jesus had His twelve disciples who He appointed and gave power and authority to do the work He was doing, but the harvest was great. So much people needed the Lord Jesus and to hear the gospel or the good news, and even to this day still are. The laborers were few, therefore He had to appoint more laborers. And the Bible says the Lord Jesus appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two into every city and place, where He Himself was about to go. He sent them in advance because He Himself was about to go there.
The Lord doesn’t send people to labor if He didn’t have any plans to visit those people in those areas. Be assured when we tell people about the goodness and mercy of God, and preach His Word through evangelizing, do not feel that you are laboring in vain when you see no results of your efforts. Take a look around, the harvest is plenty, and the laborers are on the move, and the Lord of harvest is at work.
In the book of Romans chapter 10 verse 14 to 15, it says “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news”
When we tell others about the message of Salvation and about God’s goodness and plans for His people, now and in the future, some people they may not believe right away, some even after they believe, it may take years until they accept the truth and invite the Lord Jesus and the gift of Salvation into their lives, some even after, it may take even more years until you can see the transformation in their lives.
After I became a born again Christian, it took me at least three years I believe to really get myself in line with the Lord and totally surrender to Him. It took a consistency of the Lord’s approach, conviction, and correction, but also learning the scriptures and the Word of God to transform my mindset or thinking, and my lifestyle. Even to this day, there are some things that the Lord is still working in and through me, so much pruning is going on, but I have improved from where I started from. The Bible says in Philippians chapter 2 verse 13 that “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.” And until we go to be with the Lord, or until He comes, God will still be working in and through our lives. As you can see, it’s a process. In the book of Philippians chapter 1 verse 6, Apostle Paul said, “Being confident of this, that He Who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Another thing we can learn from what the Lord said in the book of Luke chapter 10 from verses 1 to 11 passage is that, He sent them two by two, and sent them out, His seventy disciples as lambs, and said whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you. The Lord Jesus knew some people will not welcoming them. Sometimes, not all will receive the good news and message about the kingdom of God when we are sent to them. If they don’t receive it, don’t beat yourself about it. Keep your peace, and remain peaceful. But if they receive you and the message you have to deliver, remain in the same Church, community, or city. Do not go from house to house. If they have accepted you, remain there until the assignment is done, or until the Lord tells you to go somewhere else.
I remember a little while ago, I was really eager to attend different Churches randomly. There was nothing wrong with the Churches that I attended at the time. I love both Churches. They both fed me the Word of God to the maximum, both have wonderful praise and worship, and are filled with the Presence of the Holy Spirit of God, both are very good in prayer engagements and sessions, both have members and attendees that were kind, compassionate, and welcoming. It’s just I was seeking for deliverance and healing miracle. It reached a point, I got tired waiting for the deliverance and breakthrough. Therefore, I would go to other Churches occasionally if I heard that Church has a Pastor anointed to deliver all kinds of situations. But then one day I confessed to one of the Pastors in one’s of my home’s Churches, and he advised and said to me to seek the Lord to direct me, and choose one Church where I can grow spiritually and as a godly woman, where I will be fed with the Word of God and fellowship with other believers, and the Lord would meet me and my needs where I’m planted. I shouldn’t be moving from one Church to another.
What we can also learn here is that those who are planted are always going to be the fruitful ones. Where we are planted by the Lord, is where we would flourish.

In the book of Psalm chapter 1 from verses 1 to 3, it says “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
In the book of Psalm chapter 92 verse 12 to 14 it says, “The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.”

We shouldn’t be moving from Church to Church, or from career to career, or this occupation to that occupation. In order to grow and succeed, we need to make a decision, and once we make that decision, we need to stay in one course until we fulfil the assignment from GOD that He gave you and me to do.
If we are received and welcomed in our Churches, workplaces, and so forth, and we are certain this is GOD’s plan for our lives for this season, or for a really long time, let’s learn from what the Lord Jesus told the seventy disciples, “Remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages.”
When we knock the opportunity, and the door becomes open, we need to stay there until we succeed, for there is a provision for each vision, mission, or opportunity.
